About gottrix
gottrix is a collection of file tools that run entirely in your browser. No upload, no account, no queue - your files stay on your device.
What gottrix stands for
Most online converters upload your file to a remote server, process it there and send the result back. gottrix inverts that principle: the entire conversion happens locally in your browser. It is not a mere setting but the architecture itself - there simply is no server that ever sees your file contents.
How it works technically
Behind the tools are established open-source libraries compiled to WebAssembly (WASM) and run directly in the browser - the same engines as on the desktop, just without installation. A strict Content-Security-Policy forbids the conversion code from connecting to any foreign server. After your first visit, every tool even works offline.
Why you don’t have to trust us
The protection is not a promise but verifiable: switch on airplane mode and keep converting, or open the network tab (F12) and see for yourself that no file byte leaves your device. What is never transmitted cannot leak, be used to train AI, or be stored.
What you’ll find here
Over 250 tools in one place: convert and compress images, edit PDFs and documents, convert audio and video locally, transform data formats, code and geodata, plus calculators for everyday life, finance and health. All free, with no sign-up and no upload.
Who is behind gottrix
gottrix is developed and operated by Gottstein IT Solutions (Daniel Gottstein). The full provider details are in the imprint. The site is hosted in Germany; for privacy questions, the contact options listed in the imprint apply.
Get started
Pick a tool and try it - ideally straight away in airplane mode. The proof page explains exactly how the protection can be verified.
