Merging several PDFs into one document saves recipients from juggling attachments - e.g. cover letter plus CV plus references in a single file.

When you drop them, the PDFs are sorted automatically by name in alphabetical order - in the review tray you then reorder them freely, by dragging or with the arrow buttons. You can add more files, remove individual ones or edit the pages before merging.

When merging, the pages are taken over unchanged - nothing is re-rendered, so text, fonts and resolution stay exactly as in the original. This is ideal for bundling several monthly statements, chapters of a script, or the parts of a job application. Tip: with a consistent naming scheme using leading zeros like “01_cover”, “02_cv”, the automatic alphabetical pre-sort is correct even with two-digit numbers.

Merging happens locally in the browser with pdf-lib. Your documents are not uploaded and not sent to any server.

      In 3 steps

      1. Drop several PDFs (a folder or ZIP works too).
      2. Reorder in the review tray (drag or arrows) and edit pages if needed.
      3. Download the merged PDF.

Limitations: Password-protected PDFs may fail; very large documents need correspondingly more memory. The bookmark tree of the source files is not carried over; fillable form fields, however, are preserved.

      FAQ

      Are the PDFs uploaded?

No, everything runs locally in the browser.

In which order are they merged?

In the order shown in the review tray. On drop the files are pre-sorted alphabetically; after that you set the order yourself, by dragging or with the arrow buttons.

Can I reorder files by dragging?

Yes. In the review tray you drag the files into the order you want or move them with the arrow buttons. On drop they are already pre-sorted alphabetically.

      Are bookmarks/form fields kept?

Page content, fonts and resolution are carried over exactly, because nothing is re-rendered while merging. Fillable form fields are preserved as well - if two files contain fields with the same name, the later one is renamed automatically (say "Name-2") so both stay independently fillable. Digital signatures inherently lose their validity when documents are merged, and the bookmark tree of the source files is not carried over - check the result briefly before deleting the originals.
