Is my file uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser - your file never leaves your device. How this is verifiable

Net worth is the most fundamental figure in personal finance: everything you own minus everything you owe. On the asset side are cash and accounts, investments and securities, real estate and other assets (car, valuables, stakes). On the liability side are mortgages and other debts (consumer loans, open bills). The difference is your net worth - the most honest number for tracking your financial standing over time.

The calculation runs entirely locally in your browser, in pure JavaScript - nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored. That matters here in particular: a full statement of assets is one of the most sensitive things you can compile, and it never leaves your device. The sum of assets minus the sum of liabilities gives the net worth. If debts exceed assets the result is negative - the calculator shows that honestly rather than glossing over it.

An honest note: this is a snapshot, not a valuation. Use realistic, current figures - for real estate the market value, not the purchase price; for securities today's market value. Not every asset is quickly liquid, and some items (such as a home you live in) also serve a purpose beyond the number. It is best to track net worth regularly so you can see the trend. The amounts are shown in euros as an example; the maths applies to any currency. Not investment or wealth advice.

FAQ

Are my inputs uploaded?

No. The calculation runs entirely locally in the browser (pure JavaScript); nothing is sent or stored - which matters in particular for a full statement of assets.

What counts as assets?

Anything with monetary value: cash and accounts, investments and securities, real estate at market value, plus other items such as a car, valuables or stakes.

Can net worth be negative?

Yes. If debts exceed assets the net worth is negative. The calculator shows that honestly - common for younger households with a fresh mortgage.

What value should I use for my property?

Use today's market value (what you would realistically get on a sale), not the purchase price. Enter the outstanding loan separately under liabilities.
