A workbook with many worksheets is hard to share sheet by sheet. This tool splits an .xlsx into one file per sheet and bundles them as a ZIP - handy when you only want to share a single sheet.
Pick the format per sheet: a standalone Excel file (.xlsx) or a CSV. The number of output files equals the number of worksheets.
Everything happens locally in the browser - the workbook is not uploaded. For confidential spreadsheets that is the decisive difference.
Workbooks often accumulate a separate tab per month, department or region. Anyone who only wants to pass one section to a colleague would otherwise have to laboriously copy out columns or unintentionally send along confidential neighbouring tabs. Here you split the file cleanly along its tabs and hand over exactly the one that is requested. If you pick CSV, you additionally get open, program-independent extracts for further processing.
Important for the format choice: if you save each sheet as its own .xlsx, that sheet's formulas, number formats and formatting are kept. Pick CSV instead and only the plain cell value is written - formulas as their computed result, without any formatting. CSV is maximally compatible, xlsx keeps more.
