The Egyptian National ID (الرقم القومي) is a 14-digit number issued by the Civil Status Authority. Its structure is publicly documented: a century digit, two digits birth year, two digits month, two digits day, two digits governorate code, a four-digit sequence (whose last digit is odd for male, even for female) and a final digit.
This tool is a decoder, not a registry lookup (important and honest): it reads out only what is publicly documented in the fourteen digits themselves - century, birth date, governorate and gender. It does not access any population registry and stores nothing. The final (fourteenth) digit is sometimes called a check digit, but we could not find a reliably sourced, public formula for computing it - so this tool only shows it unchanged instead of faking a guessed verification.
