No. Everything runs in your browser - your file never leaves your device. How this is verifiable
Lengths are measured in two large systems: the metric one (metre, kilometre, centimetre, millimetre) and the Anglo-American one (mile, yard, foot, inch). When reading building plans, travel distances, screen sizes or American instructions you constantly switch between them. This converter takes a value in one unit and gives it exactly in another.
The conversion rests on fixed, internationally agreed definitions: one inch is exactly 2.54 centimetres, one foot exactly 0.3048 metres, one mile exactly 1609.344 metres (the 1959 agreement). Internally your value passes through the base unit metre - first from the source unit into metres, then from metres into the target unit. So any combination is possible and the result is exact up to the displayed rounding.
The whole calculation runs entirely locally in your browser, in pure JavaScript - nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored. Choose the source and target unit, enter a value, and the result updates instantly. The display rounds to six decimals; very small or very large ratios may therefore appear rounded.
