A colour palette pulls out the dominant colours of an image so you can reuse them in a design, a brand sheet or a mood board. This tool scans the whole image, groups similar colours together, and outputs the most common ones as a row of solid swatches.

As soon as you drop an image, a live preview appears: the image with its palette below it as clickable swatches, each showing its hex code - tap a swatch to copy its code straight to your clipboard. The number of colours is chosen automatically for a clear, useful palette. To save it, download the palette as a PNG strip, ready for a document or a colour picker.

Everything runs entirely locally in your browser on a canvas (no upload, even offline) - your image never leaves your device. The palette is an approximation of the most frequent colours, grouped by similarity, not an exact count of every single shade. Animated images are read as a single frame.

      In 3 steps

      1. Drop or tap your image (PNG, JPEG or WebP).
      2. See the palette live - tap a swatch to copy its hex code.
      3. Download the palette image (a strip of colour swatches).

Limitations: Shows a live preview of the palette as clickable hex swatches on drop (tapping copies the hex code) and, on confirm, exports them as a row of solid swatches in a PNG. The number of swatches is chosen automatically. The palette approximates the dominant colours (grouped by similarity), not an exact per-pixel count. Animated inputs are read as a single frame.

No. The palette is built entirely locally in the browser on a canvas - even offline. Your image never leaves your device.

How do I copy a hex code?

How many colours are in the palette?

The number is chosen automatically for a clear, useful palette; there is no slider to keep it simple.

      What is the output format?

A PNG strip of solid colour swatches, which you can sample with any colour picker or drop into a document.
