A presentation often starts from an already-finished PDF - a handout, a report, someone else's slide deck - that you want to keep editing in PowerPoint or drop into an existing deck. This tool converts every page of the PDF into its own PowerPoint slide: a faithful image slide that is guaranteed to look exactly like the PDF.
You can additionally turn on an editable text layer: the PDF's paragraphs and headings are then also placed as invisible but real text boxes over the image - at the same position as in the original. That keeps the text selectable, copyable, searchable and directly editable in PowerPoint, without ever visually doubling the image (the same technique a searchable OCR PDF uses).
Honest and important: without the text layer you get a pure image presentation - visually perfect, but the text inside is not editable. With the text layer on, the slide size stays aligned to the PDF's first page; a page with a very different aspect ratio is centred to fit rather than distorted. Tables and images from the PDF are carried over only as part of the page image, not as separate editable objects. Slide size follows the first page; a page with a very different format is centred to fit. Open password-protected PDFs with "Unlock PDF" first.
