This tool spells any number out instantly - live, as you type.
Every language has its OWN grammar for number words, and this tool models each one on its own terms - no single universal formula: English follows the international thousand-scale (thousand/million/billion); Spanish distinguishes "cien" (exactly 100) from "ciento" (101 and up) and treats "veintiuno" as one compound word; French has the well-known quirks "soixante-dix" (70), "quatre-vingts" (80) and the "et" conjunction at 21/31/41; Portuguese (Brazil) joins the final group with "e" ("mil e trinta e quatro"). English additionally offers the lakh/crore grouping common in India (100,000 = "one lakh", 10,000,000 = "one crore") as its own option - independent of the language of the page you are viewing right now.
The whole conversion runs entirely locally in your browser (pure JavaScript, no server) - the number you enter never leaves your device. Only whole numbers are supported (decimal places are not spelled out); each language has a documented upper limit beyond which the tool honestly reports an error instead of showing an invented name - Spanish deliberately stays below one billion, because "billón" means 10^12 in Spanish (a false-friend risk against the English "billion").

Limitations: Whole numbers only (no decimal places). Each language has an upper limit beyond which an honest error appears instead of an invented name: English (international) up to 999,999,999,999, English (Indian) up to 9,999,999,999, French and Portuguese up to 999,999,999,999, Spanish up to 999,999,999 (because of the "billón" ambiguity). The Indian lakh/crore grouping is only available for English.

In India, large numbers from 100,000 upward are grouped in pairs of digits rather than groups of three: 100,000 is "one lakh", 10,000,000 is "one crore". This is an English-language option, independent of the page language.
Because "billón" in Spanish means 10^12, not 10^9 like the English "billion" - a well-known false friend. To avoid inventing a wrong name, the Spanish output deliberately stops at 999,999,999.
